OKALOOSA COUNTY, Fla. (WKRG) - A Florida man was crossing the road when he was fatally hit by a car in the early morning hours Sunday.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, at 12:03 a.m., 46-year-old Troy Edward Walter from Navarre, was crossing at the intersection of US-98 and Wynnhaven Beach Road.
FHP officials say the vehicle that hit Walter, a 2004 Ford Expedition, was traveling east on US-98 approaching Wynnhaven Beach Road when the front right corner hit Walter.
Walter died from his injuries, the report states.
The report says alcohol was not related to the accident.
